This robustly made Navajo Native American Indian sterling silver and turquoise cross has good weight and feel. It is elaborately constructed with the crossbars edged with twisted wire and brought into relief with heavy round wire, which is chiseled.
Each arm flares out and grasps a silver bead. The oval stone has a plain bezel and is surrounded with twisted wire. The hook on the back is made of fairly heavy faceted wire set vertically. The cross would pair well with a larger graduated silver bead necklace. Probably dates from the 1960's to the 1990's. Dimensions: Pendant: 3-5/8" tall, 2-5/8" wide; turquoise. Total Weight: 31.5 grams/ 1.1 oz.
Condition: Excellent, no damage to silverwork or stone. Please check out my other offerings at.
